Bhubaneswar: A woman was critically injured after she fell off her scooter when a miscreant snatched her mobile phone in the Canal Road area in Rasulgarh on Thursday.
She was rescued by a social activist, who informed the police who rushed to the spot and took her to the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital at Pandara for treatment.
The incident took place at about 2 pm.
Speaking to mediapersons after lodging a complaint at Mancheswar Police Station, the victim’s father Kamalakanta Sahu said that her daughter Soujanya was on way to her house when the bike-borne miscreant snatched her phone. His daughter lost balance and fell off the scooter and sustained multiple injuries on her hands and legs.
