Bhubaneswar: A young woman was found hanging inside a hotel room in Master Canteen area of Odisha capital under mysterious circumstances on Thursday.
The deceased woman, stated to be a resident of Brahmagiri area in Puri district, was reportedly working with a mobile phone company.
According to sources, the woman had come to Bhubaneswar with her colleague for an office-related work and both had checked into the hotel. They were staying in the room of the hotel located in Master Canteen area.
However, her body was found hanging inside the room this morning, while her colleague is stated to be missing and was to be traced, they said.
On being informed, a police team visited the hotel and recovered the body which was sent to the Capital Hospital for post-mortem.
While the family members of the deceased alleged that she was murdered, police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The CCTV footage of the hotel is being examined as part of the investigation in a bid to ascertain the circumstances under which the woman died.
