Woman held with brown sugar worth Rs 2 lakh

Khurda: Excise sleuths on Friday seized brown sugar worth Rs 2 lakh and arrested a woman at Jabardastpur in Khurda.
She was identified as Kuni Pradhan, wife of Judhisthir Pradhan.
The woman was arrested during a raid at Jabardastpur following information about brown sugar being sold in the area. Efforts are on to trace other persons involved in the trade, a police officer said.
In another incident, two looters were arrested and 128 gram of gold ornaments was seized from their possession during a joint raid by Baripada and Sahadebkhunta police at Balasore. They were identified as Rabindra Barik and Kanha Das
