Bhadrak: A worker was killed after a major fire broke out at a firecracker warehouse at a village in Chandbali area of Odisha’s Bhadrak district.
According to information, the mishap took place at Paramanandapur under Chandbali bock late on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi Patra, who was reportedly working at the warehouse when the fire erupted.
Sources said the fire reportedly broke out at the warehouse where firecrackers were being manufactured.
After receiving the information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control.
Following the incident, Police officials reached the spot and recovered Patra’s body, which was subsequently sent to hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
