Youth Pushed Out Of Moving Train In Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: In a shocking incident, a youth was critically injured after being allegedly pushed from a moving train by some passengers near Padua railway station under Nandapur block in Odisha’s Koraput district.

The youth, identified as Javed Mohammed of Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh, sustained critical injuries after falling from the running train late on Friday night. Both his legs have been severely affected.

Sources said Javed was to get down at Padua railway station. However, he had arguments with some passengers who had boarded the train at Jeypore railway station. “As the train was approaching Padua station, someone allegedly pushed me,” Javed alleged.

With both legs badly injured, he screamed for help all through the night alone. “I started crawling for about  half-a-km before falling into a drain,” he added.

He was later rescued by some people in critical condition and sent him to Nandapur community health centre. After preliminary treatment, Javed was shifted to the district headquarters hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.
