Bhubaneswar: Body of a youth was recovered near Kuakhai riverbed in Gadakhuntani area under Balianta police limits on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Chandan Gochhayat, a resident of Tirtol area in Jagatsinghpur district.
Some locals spotted the body and immediately alerted the police.
According to available information, a bottle containing some poisonous substance was recovered from one hand of the youth while there were scars on the other hand.
A car was also found park closed to the body.
Cops and locals suspect that the youth committed suicide by consuming poison and cutting the veins of his hand over a love affair.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the car found near it seized for further investigation.
