San Francisco: Video-streaming platform YouTube faced a global outage on Thursday morning. The reason is unknown but the service was restored in a couple of hours.
#YouTubeDown started trending on Twitter following which YouTube acknowledged the issue and fixed it.

Users were getting the message “An error occurred. Please try again later” while playing videos.
The company tweeted via its @TeamYouTube account which noted, “If you’re having trouble watching videos on YouTube right now, you’re not alone – our team is aware of the issue and working on a fix. We’ll follow up here with any updates.”
