Kochi: A YouTuber of Kerala’s Kozhikode has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman, whom he had befriended through social media.
Mohammed Nishal (25) was taken into custody on Saturday on the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman, PTI reported, quoting a police statement.

He was later presented before a local court and sent to judicial custody.
According to the complainant, the YouTuber had raped her twice after threatening to circulate her objectionable videos and photos on social media. He also threatened to send those to her husband. Similar cases were registered against Nishal at multiple police stations, the report added.
