Bhadrak/Kendrapada: A person died and three others were critically injured when lightning struck them at separate places in Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts on Saturday.
According to reports, A man died after being hit by lightning at Panchutikiri village of Basudevpur in Bhadrak district. The deceased was identified as Birabhadra Sahu.

In Kendrapada, three people sustained critical injuries when lightning struck them at Kharinasi village under Mahakalpada block. The trio was working in a nearby prawn enclosure when the mishap took place. They were admitted to Mahakalapada hospital, reports added.
