128L of illicit liquor seized, 2 held in Balasore

Balasore: The excise sleuths and Remuna police on Sunday seized illicit liquor and arrested two persons in Balasore district.
Those arrested were identified as Chaturbhuja Das and Akshay Kumar Das.
Acting on a tip-off, excise officials and police carried out joint raids at Kakabarei and Hatiaganda areas in the district and managed to nab the duo with the liquor bottles. A scooter was also seized from the accused.
Earlier on August 31, a team of excise officials had seized 637 litres of illicit liquor and arrested two persons from Nilagiri area in the district.
