Bhubaneswar: Four school students have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Odisha capital.
One among them is a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya-1. He had come to school on Saturday to attend an examination, informed vice-principal Upendra Singh.
Since he appeared for the pre-board exams with other students in a classroom, all those present and their parents have been asked by school authorities to undergo isolation. Their swab samples will be collected for the COVID-19 test, sources said.
Similarly, the three hostel boarders were tested after they developed COVID-19 symptoms. They have been asked to vacate the hostel.

Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) visited the school to take stock of the situation. All inmates of the particular hostel will undergo the COVID-19 test. Tests for those staying in four other hostels of the school will be carried out if needed, a BMC official said, adding that the hostels and school campus will be sanitised.

Earlier, a cluster of coronavirus was detected at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, (XIMB).
