Bhubaneswar: A late-night road mishap in Bhubaneswar left three people injured after a speeding car rammed into a police patrolling van near Jaydev Vihar Square.
The driver of the car and two police personnel sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment. The incident occurred on Friday night when a car, reportedly moving at high speed, lost control and collided with the police patrolling van stationed near Jaydev Vihar Square.
The impact of the crash was severe, leaving the front portion of the car badly damaged and causing injuries to both the driver and two police officers inside the van.
The accident disrupted traffic flow in the busy square for some time until authorities managed to clear the vehicles from the road. Emergency services responded promptly, and the injured were transported for treatment without delay. The damaged vehicles were later removed from the spot to restore normal traffic movement.
Following the accident, local police initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision. Preliminary reports suggest that over-speeding and possible loss of control by the driver led to the crash.
