Sambalpur: In a tragic road accident, three persons, including a six-year-old child, were killed after a collision between a motorcycle and SUV in Kuchinda area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
Sources said the accident took place in front of the Kuchinda Forest Park when a speeding SUV rammed into a motorcycle carrying three persons. Late on Friday night.
The impact of the collision was so severe that two persons died on the spot. A six-year-old child, who was critically injured in the accident, was rushed to a hospital. However, the child succumbed to injuries later.
The victims were returning from a relative’s house in the Mahulpali area when the accident occurred.
Local police reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. The vehicle involved has been seized, and efforts are underway to ascertain the cause of the accident.
