Bhubaneswar: In a significant step to strengthen lower judiciary, the Odisha government on Wednesday announced the establishment of three new Civil Judge Courts (Junior Division) in three districts of the state.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has accorded his approval for the establishment of these three new courts, an official statement said.
The three new courts will be located in Baliapal in Balasore district, Lephripara in Sundargarh, and Rengali in Sambalpur district. These courts have been set up after detailed consultation with the Orissa High Court.
The notification for the formation of these courts was issued following the approval of the proposed amendment by the Chief Minister.
With the establishment of these three new courts, the jurisdiction of all other Junior Division Civil Judge Courts covering these respective revenue tehsils will no longer be applicable.
