The Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretariat, in accordance with the Odisha government’s decision to provide accommodation to the MLAs in same area, has started preparations to build new quarters. The MLA quarters located between New Guest House of Vidhan Sabha and Commissionerate Police Headquarters at Unit -4, will be pulled down and new multi-storey buildings will be built in that place.

It has, therefore, asked the 35 MLAs/Ministers and four others who are currently living in the said government quarters, to vacate it, though no deadline has been given to them.
