Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district surged to 1,144 on Saturday with an overnight addition of 50 positive cases.
According to the district administration, 48 of the new cases are local contacts.

Among the local contact cases, 27 are from containment zone. Moreover, four are health personnel and two are police officials.

The maximum number of 23 cases was detected in Jeypore municipality. One is a Bhubaneswar returnee.
With 620 recoveries, Koraput district has 524 active cases at present.
