Koraput: Four people were killed and another seriously injured after two cars collided head-on on NH 26 near the HAL Guest House in Odisha’s Sunabeda last night.
According to sources, the accident took place at around 11.30 pm when one car was travelling from Koraput to Damanjodi and the other from Semiliguda to Sunabeda. While one of the vehicles overturned, the other was badly mangled under the impact of the collision. Those behind the wheels and two other persons travelling in one of the cars died. One of the deceased has been identified as Asutosh Rana, a youth working in Pune.
The injured person is undergoing treatment at SLN Medical College and Hospital at Koraput.
Three of the victims are said to be residents of Ganjam Colony in Sunabeda while the other hailed from Mathalput area.
