Bhubaneswar: The fourth edition of Odisha Masters 2025 – BWF Tour Super 100 Tournament will be held at Cuttack’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium from December 9 to 14.
The event will be organised jointly by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Badminton Association of India (BAI), Odisha State Badminton Association and the state government’s Sports & Youth Services department.
Around 400 shuttlers from 23 countries will take part in the tournament, Sports minister Suryabanshi Suraj informed during a press conference at the Kalinga Stadium on Thursday.
Besides India, the other countries to be represented in the tournament are Finland, Hong Kong China, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Israel, Japan, Spain, Egypt, Indonesia, USA, Australia, England, Thailand, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, UAE, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Russia and Bangladesh.

Competitions will be held in five categories — Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The official logo of the international tournament was unveiled on the occasion. Tournament mascot ‘Olly’ made an appearance, energising sports enthusiasts present on the occasion.

Sub-Junior National badminton
The Sports minister also announced that the 37th Sub-Junior National Badminton Championship will be held at Kalinga Stadium from December 1 to 6 in the under-15 and under-17 categories.
Around 750 players from several states and Union Territories will participate, including 25 shuttlers from Odisha.
Suraj highlighted Odisha’s growing stature in global sports, noting that the state has successfully hosted major events like the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze and Asian Table Tennis Team Championship in recent years.
