1. Sandeep Reddy Vanga
The director of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh said in an interview with Anupama Chopra, “If you can’t slap if you can’t touch your woman wherever you want if you can’t kiss, I don’t see the emotion there.”
2. Daniel Shravan:
In the wake of the brutal rape and murder of the vet doctor in Hyderabad that shook the nation in 2019, filmmaker Daniel Shravan wrote on his Twitter handle, “Rape is not a serious thing but murder is inexcusable. Avoid killing after rape. Women should carry condoms and cooperate in rape.”
3. Sanjay Dutt:
While promoting his Bhoomi along with Aditi Rao Haydari, Sanjay Dutt also made a sexist remark. He was asked about his daughter’s desire to become an actress. He said that he is following his own father’s footsteps who didn’t allow his sisters to join the industry. “Trisha wanted to be an actress and I wanted to break her legs,” said Sanjay.
4. Rani Mukherjee:
During the round table conference by journalist Rajeev Masand, Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee in response to #MeToo said, “If they (victims) don’t want it (sexual abuse) to happen it will not happen.”
5. Salman Khan:
While promoting his film Sultan, Salman Khan compared his exhaustion from a physically demanding shooting sequence, he said, “When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight.”
