5 Hospital Staff Arrested For Siphoning Lakhs Of Rupees Using BSKY Cards In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Twin City Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested five staffers of a private hospital at Khan Nagar in Odisha’s Cuttack city for allegedly withdrawing lakhs of rupees using Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) cards.

According to sources, it was alleged that the staff used beneficiaries’ cards from 42 Mouza to claim insurance money by faking illness. They had provided them with Rs 2000 each for letting them use the BSKY cards.

“An FIR was filed at 42 Mouza police station alleging that five persons had defrauded lakhs of rupees by misusing BSKY cards. On the basis of the complaint, we have arrested all the accused persons,” Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra told media.
