67 Patients Succumb To COVID In Odisha, 13 From Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Even as the COVID-19 caseload in Odisha has shown a declining trend, the number of deaths remains a matter of concern.

The Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department informed on Thursday that 67 patients have succumbed to the virus, taking the state’s toll to 5,308.

The department, however, clarified that the list of deaths does not reflect the fatalities occurring on a particular day. Rather, it gives the details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been completed and the cause of death has been identified as COVID-19.

Among the new deaths reported from 13 districts, Khurda topped the chart with 20 fatalities (including 13 from Bhubaneswar). It was followed by 8 in Balasore, 7 in Bargarh, 6 in Nabarangpur, 5 each in Angul, Puri and Rayagada, 4 in Dhenkanal, 2 each in Kandhamal and Mayurbhanj and 1 each in Kalahandi, Kendrapada and Nuapada districts.

The deceased have been identified as:

1.A 40 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
2.A 50 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
3.A 38 years old male of Angul District.
4.A 71 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
5.A 36 years old female of Angul District.
6.A 74 years old male of Balasore District.
7.A 20 years old female of Balasore District.
8.A 65 years old female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9.A 82 years old male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
10.A 45 years old male of Balasore District.
11.A 68 years old male of Balasore District.
12.A 49 years old female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
13.A 50 years old male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
14.A 34 years old female of Bargarh District.
15.A 60 years old male of Bargarh District.
16.A 50 years old male of Bargarh District.
17.A 55 years old male of Bargarh District.
18.A 45 years old female of Bargarh District.
19.A 50 years old male of Bargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
20.A 60 years old male of Bargarh District.
21.A 41 years old male of Bhubaneswar.
22.A 49 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
23.A 55 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Asthma.
24.A 45 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.
25.A 58 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

35.A 78 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
36.A 29 years old female of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Asthma.
37.A 70 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
38.A 47 years old female of Kalahandi District.
39.A 49 years old male of Kandhamal District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
40.A 63 years old male of Kandhamal District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
41.A 57 years old female of Kendrapada District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Hypothyroidsim.
42.A 45 years old male of Khurda District.
43.A 63 years old male of Khurda District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
44.A 65 years old female of Khurda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
45.A 48 years old male of Khurda District.
46.A 65 years old female of Khurda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
47.A 79 years old male of Khurda District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Asthma.
48.A 41 years old male of Khurda District.
49.A 82 years old male of Mayurbhanj District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
50.A 40 years old male of Mayurbhanj District.
51.A 55 years old male of Nabarangpur District.
52.A 43 years old female of Nabarangpur District.
53.A 39 years old female of Nabarangpur District.
54.A 50 years old male of Nabarangpur District.
55.A 36 years old male of Nabarangpur District.
56.A 48 years old female of Nabarangpur District.
57.A 50 years old male of Nuapada District.
58.A 75 years old male of Puri District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
59.A 57 years old female of Puri District.
60.A 75 years old female of Puri District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
61.A 55 years old male of Puri District.
62.A 57 year old male of Puri District.
63.A 55 years old male of Rayagada District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
64.A 44 years old male of Rayagada District.
65.A 43 years old male of Rayagada District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
66.A 76 years old male of Rayagada District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
67.A 75 years old male of Rayagada District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

With this, Khurda district so far has reported 977 deaths followed by Sundargarh (458), Ganjam (424), Puri (317), Cuttack (315), Bargarh (268), Angul (211), Kalahandi (194), Mayurbhanj (193), Balasore (170), Rayagada (157), Sambalpur (154), Nayagarh (141), Jharsuguda (137), Kendrapada (119), Dhenkanal (106) and Keonjhar (100).
