New Delhi: Google Doodle celebrated 77th Indian Independence Day on Tuesday by displaying textile craft forms of various states, created by New Delhi-based guest artist, Namrata Kumar.
While this day is a reminder of the many sacrifices and struggles made by the Indian freedom fighters to help the country achieve its freedom from the British Raj, here are some dialogues from movies to ignite your patriotic spirit. 3. Watan Ke Aage Kuch Bhi Nahi, Khud Bhi Nhi (Raazi)
In the spy thriller film directed by Meghna Gulzar, Alia Bhatt as an undercover RAW agent says, ‘Watan ke aage kuch nahi, khud bhi nahi.’ The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel Calling Sehmat, a true account of an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who, upon her father’s request, is married into a family of military officers in Pakistan to relay information to India, prior to the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

5. Koi Bhi Desh Perfect Nahin Hota… Usse Behtar Banana Padta Hai (Rang De Basanti)
The last one from the movie on this list is this hard-hitting one-liner from R Madhavan, who said nothing but the truth. Every nation has certain flaws. Instead of always pointing out what the government isn’t doing, we should do our bit to make it a better country. How about starting with not littering the roads?
6. How’s the Josh? (Uri)
A dialogue that not even politicians could resist in a movie based on the surgical strike of 2019. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this dialogue is as famous as ‘Friends’ is in India, possibly more.

The dialogue, from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ is reality. God forbid if there weren’t soldiers, who would have protected us from enemies? Time to be grateful to the soldiers, today and tomorrow.

9. Yeh azaadi ki ladai hain…(Mangal Pandey: The Rising)
This historical biographical drama film is based on the life of Mangal Pandey, who helped spark the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Aamir Khan, who plays the titular role, says, “Yeh azaadi ki ladai hain, guzre hue kal se azaadi… aane waale kal ke liye.”
