86,821 Fresh Cases Take India’s COVID-19 Tally Past 6.3 Million; Toll Reaches 98,678
New Delhi: India on Thursday registered 86,821 fresh COVID-19 cases pushing the tally to 6,312,584, as per the Union Health Ministry. As many as 1,181 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 98,678.
The total number of active cases in India stands at 9,40,705 whereas a total of 52,73,201 people have been cured so far. While the country’s infection rate is at 15.11 per cent, India’s recovery rate currently stands at 83.33 per cent.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 14,23,052 samples have been tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
