9 Places In Odisha Record Below 12 Deg Celsius; Daringbadi Coldest at 8.5 Deg C
Bhubaneswar: After dipping to 7 degrees Celsius in Phulbani a day before, the mercury rose slightly in Odisha on Saturday night, with Daringbadi recording a minimum temperature of 8.5 degrees Celsius, the coldest place in the state.
Coldwave conditions prevailed across the state with the mercury dipping below 12 degrees Celsius at nine places, including Daringbadi, on Saturday night, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The other places were Bolangir (9), Koraput (9.5), Phulbani (9.5), Sundargarh (10), Titlagarh (10.8), Sonepur (10.8), Jharsuguda (11.2) and Bhawanipatna (11.6).
The minimum temperature was between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius in Balasore (14), Chandbali (13.6), Angul (14), Baripada (14), Keonjhar (12.6), Sambalpur (13.7), Hirakud (13.2), Talcher (12), Malkangiri (12.5) and Nayagarh (12).
The minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar was 15.1 degrees Celsius while Cuttack recorded 15 degrees Celsius.
