Apple TV+ Launched For Rs 99 Per Month In India
Apple TV Plus, an online streaming service like Netflix and Amazon Prime, is now available in India. It costs ₹99 a month and comes with a seven-day free trial period.
Users can download the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms, or access tv.apple.com from any device’s browser.
The service, which is available in more than 100 countries, has local and international content dubbed in around 40 languages.
TV shows that are available at launch include “See”, “The Morning Show”, “Dickinson”, “For All Mankind”, “Helpsters”, “Snoopy in Space”, “Ghostwriter” and Oprah Winfrey’s Book Club.
How to subscribe and watch Apple TV+
- Users can download the Apple TV app or access tv.apple.com through a web browser
- The Apple TV app is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, the third-generation Apple TV device, iPod touch and Mac computers
- For people not having an Apple device, you can access the Apple TV app using a Roku device, or select Samsung smart TVs or on Amazon Fire TV devices
- Go through a web browser at tv.apple.com in Safari, Chrome and Firefox
- People who activate the year-long free trial will be charged $4.99 per month after the year ends. The subscription can be cancelled at any time in device settings.
How to get Apple TV+ subscription for free:
Anyone who purchased a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod touch or Apple TV after September 10 is eligible for a free one-year Apple TV+ subscription.
The app lets you download content and watch offline too. It is not available for Android smartphones. It will come to LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms in the future, the company said.
In comparison to Netflix, Apple TV+ is cheaper at Rs 99 a month while Netflix costs Rs 199 per month for the mobile-only plan. Amazon’s Prime Video subscription comes at Rs 129 per month in India.
