The ‘kagaz ki kasti’ fame singer has fans across the world. His songs remain immortal. As we remember him on his 77th birth anniversary on Thursday, his songs still sound fresh.
The immortal singer started his career at All India Radio, Jalandhar. While singing for a jingle he met Chitra and the duo started singing together. They tied the knot in 1969. Jagjit was devastated when his son Vivek died in a car crash in 1990. After six months of self-imposed absence from the industry, he again started singing till he died in 2011.
