COVID-19: PM Likely To Hold Another Meeting With CMs On June 16-17
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold another meeting with chief ministers of all states and Union Territories on June 16 and 17.
Even as the Union government has been easing lockdown restrictions gradually, allowing several sectors to open, there has been a steady increase in positive coronavirus cases in the country.
With 3493 fresh positive cases on Friday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country crossed the 3 lakh mark, with Maharashtra accounting for one-third of that number, The Indian Express reported.
Considering the recent spike in cases, the PM will be having another round of consultation – his sixth virtual meeting since nationwide lockdown was enforced on March 25 – with the state heads next week.
