Naveen Inaugurates Odisha’s 6th Plasma Bank In Koraput

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday inaugurated a plasma bank at the SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput district through video conferencing here.

While inaugurating the facility, the chief minister said plasma therapy was introduced in the state six weeks ago as a possible curative and healing therapy in the fight against COVID-19.

“In continuation to our humble efforts in the service of the people, today we will see the sixth plasma bank of the state open in Koraput,” he said.

He further said more than 400 patients have been transfused with plasma and it has shown good results in 320 of them. He also congratulated a COVID-19 recovered person who donated his plasma and became the first donor at the plasma bank.
