Bhubaneswar & Cuttack Reports More COVID-19 Deaths; Odisha Toll Rises To 626
Bhubaneswar: With 10 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 626 on Sunday.
The fresh deaths have been reported from Khurda (3) and Cuttack (2) and one each from Balasore, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj and Sonepur districts.
The Heath and Family Welfare Department has identified the deceased as
1. A 60-year old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension.
2. A 62-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from hypertension.
3. A 66-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
5. A 74-year old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from diabetes.
6. A 55-year old male of Ganjam district.
7. A 62-year old male of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
8. A 60-year old male of Khurda district who was also suffering from hypertension.
9. A 60-year old male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease.
10. An 84-year old male of Sonepur district who was also suffering from diabetes & hypertension.
With these 10 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 213 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 91 in Khurda, 48 in Cuttack, 38 in Sundargarh, 31 in Rayagada, 20 in Puri and 18 each in Gajapati and Nayagarh, 17 in Sambalpur, 16 in Balasore, 12 in Kandhamal, 10 each in Bargarh and Balangir, nine in Bhadrak, eight each in Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar, seven each in Malkangiri and Jajpur, five in Kalahandi, four each in Jagatsinghpur and Angul, three in Kendrapada, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and one in Jharsuguda.
