Bhubaneswar: Odia rapper and YouTube sensation Duleswar Tandi aka Dule Rapper has been reportedly roped in by popular music director Prem Anand for his upcoming film.
Duleshwar, a resident of Kalahandi district, shot to fame during the lockdown with his rap titled ‘Suno Sarkar’, which expresses the plight of migrant workers.
According to reports, music director Prem has asked Dule Rapper to sing in his upcoming, untitled movie.
The song titled ‘Jio Bala Aunty’, written by Subrat Swain and sung by Swarnarekha and Ashutosh, will also be included in the film.
Susant Kumar bankrolled the song and it was recorded at Swarna studio at Tankapani Road under Music Masti banner.
Dule Rapper was praised by the likes of Vishal Dadlani, Swara Bhaskar, Sona Mahapatra, journalist Barkha Dutt and many others for his famous rap ‘Suno Sarkar’.
Dule was also offered an opportunity in Bollywood by renowned music director Dadlani, but the former turned it down stating that he wants to sing only for Odia cinema.
Now, with Prem Anand’s offer, Dule Rapper’s dream has turned into reality.
