Rain Relief For Coastal & Interior Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of coastal and interior Odisha experienced rainfall on Monday.

According to a bulletin of Regional Meteorological Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Deogaon in Jharsuguda district, Jamankira in Sambalpur district and Phulbani in Kandhamal district received 3 cm rainfall, followed by Hindol in Dhenkanal district, Madanpur Rampur in Kalahandi district, Kolabira in Jharsuguda district, Banaigarh Aws in Sundargarh, Kaniha in Angul district and Sundargarh at 2 cm.

The temperature across the state, however, remained unchanged. Sonepur recorded the highest temperature of 43 degree Celsius, the bulletin said.

The mercury dropped in many parts with the state experiencing Nor’wester rain for the last coupe of days.

The Met department has forecast similar weather conditions till May 5. Temperature may rise in the state thereafter.
