Negative COVID Report Must For People Arriving In Delhi From These States

New Delhi: Delhi will make it mandatory for people arriving from few states to have negative COVID test reports from Friday in view of rising coronavirus cases in several states of India.

People arriving in Delhi from Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab via flights, trains, or buses will need to show a negative RT-PCR test from Saturday to March 15. People entering Delhi by road though have been exempted from the test. The official orders will be issued later on Wednesday, reported NDTV.

According to sources, the Delhi government decided to do so because, in the past week, 86 per cent of the new virus cases have been reported from these states.

The new rule will be effective from Friday midnight to March 15, 12 noon, according to NDTV’s sources.
