Coastal Odisha To Witness Rise In Temp From Tomorrow; Lightning & Thunder Warning For 18 Dists

Bhubaneswar: The coastal parts of Odisha are likely to witness a rise in temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius from tomorrow, stated a release by the regional centre of India Meteorological Department on Thursday.

Apart from this, several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm and lightning activities in the next 48 hours, the release added.

The maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2 to 4 degree Celsius at many places over coastal Odisha on Thursday under the impact of cloudy sky conditions, the release added.

The IMD has predicted thunderstorm with lightning and gusty
surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph at one or two places and issued yellow warning over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada. The warning is valid till 8.30 am of April 23.

A similar warning was issued for the districts of Malkangiri,
Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal till April 24 morning.

Apart from this partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate of rain and thunderstorm has been predicted for Bhubaneswar and the maximum and minimum temperature is likely to be around 34°C and
24°C respectively.
