Odisha Loses 2 More Journalists To COVID-19

Sambalpur: Two more journalists from Odisha died of COVID-19 on Thursday.

A well-known journalist in the state, Manas Ranjan Jaipur succumbed to COVID-19 in Sambalpur on Thursday. He was working with ZEE News Odisha, Delhi.

He recently returned to his home at Sambalpur from the national capital and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for COVID-19.

He lost his battle with the virus today morning.  

He has worked with many regional newspapers and news channels in Odisha prior to joining Zee News.

Another journalist Bhanu Prakash Rath too died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Visakhapatnam.

Bhanu was also an actor and anchor of DD News and was working as a correspondent of Naxatra News in Kalahandi.

With the two deaths, total seven journalists have succumbed to COVID-19 in the second wave of COVID-19 in Odisha.
