Stating that a series of good operations were conducted in the region of Odisha last year, Kumar said the momentum will be taken forward.

Congratulating the Odisha government and the DGP for this effort, he said excellent cooperation has come from all Central forces and the State Police.

Briefing the media persons after the meeting, Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) RP Sharma said the meeting discussed the issues of bordering areas. Besides, intelligence sharing and improvement of operational success were also deliberated, he added.

The meeting held for the first time in Odisha, was attended by the senior officials of the Home ministry, DGP, Telangana, and Additional DGs/IGs of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana and West Bengal, BSF DG, Arun Kumar and CRPF Special DG Dipak Mishra.
