Goutam Das, Odisha Topper In JEE-Advanced 2021
Bhubaneswar, Goutam Das, a student of Sai International School here, is the Odisha topper in JEE-Advanced 2021, the result of which was declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday.
Goutam has secured All India Rank (AIR) 115. He wants to study computer science at IIT Bombay.
Goutam had secured a 99.999 NTA score in the JEE (Main)-2021 paper-1 examination and was the topper of JEE (Main)- 2021 (February session) too. He also qualified in the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2021 with State Rank 1 and AIR 6 and got a seat in the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER). He had secured 98.6 per cent in Class XII CBSE exam 2021.

Goutam, whose father Ravindra Das is a businessman and mother Madhumita Das a housewife, hails from Balasore. He took admission in SAI International after passing Class X from an Odia media school in his hometown.
A firm believer in practice and more practice, he took over 180 practice tests to prepare for JEE.
“I did not aspire to become an engineer, but it was my love for mathematics for which I sat for the JEE exam,” he confessed.
Goutam is keen to graduate in Computer Science and ultimately wants to become an IAS officer.

At the national level, Mridul Agarwal scored the highest-ever percentage in the history of the entrance examination by securing 348 of 360 marks with 96.66 per cent.
