Cuttack: The body of a third year medical student was found near Madhusudan Setu here on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Berhampur and was studying in SCB Medical College and Hospital’s Department of General Surgery.

According to his batchmates and contacts, the student was missing since Monday. Some locals spotted a body near the bridge and informed local police.
CDA Phase 2 police reached the spot and recovered the body. Some syringes and anaesthesia bottles were found near the body leading to suspicion of the suicide.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and actual cause of death can be ascertained after that, said police.
