Bhubaneswar/Bhadrak: With electioneering for Dhamnagar Assembly bypoll in Odisha gaining steam, BJP’s star campaigner and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is all set to campaign for party candidate Suryabanshi Suraj for two days from Friday.
Addressing a press meet in Bhadrak, BJP’s state unit general sectary Prithiviraj Harichandan said Dharmendra will campaign for the party candidate on Friday and Saturday.
Dharmendra will hold road shows and address public meetings to seek votes for the BJP candidate, apart from undertaking door-to-door campaign in the assembly constituency in Bhadrak district.
Stating that BJP’s star campaigners will hit the campaign trail from October 28 to 31, he said Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti Bishweswar Tudu will also visit Dhamnagar and seek votes in favour of Suraj.
“People of Dhamnagar are with BJP and they have full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his pro-people schemes,” Harichandan said.
Election to the assembly seat is scheduled to be held on November 3. The BJP has nominated from the seat Suryabanshi Suraj, son of late MLA Bishu Charan Sethi, while the BJD fielded senior member Abanti Das.
