Bhubaneswar: The rural fair ‘Sisir Saras’ will begin on January 13, 2023, and will continue for 17 days till January 29.
According to sources, it will be held at Baramunda field this year instead of Unit-3 exhibition ground.
This fair is organised by Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), a society under Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, with an aim to create market linkage between rural producers and urban consumers.
Invitations have been sent out to all rural producers in states across the country to set up their stalls at the fair this year. However, the number of states is yet to be confirmed. Several food stalls, handloom silk, wrought iron works, handicrafts, winter garments, and household decorative items from across the state and India will also be on display, the sources added.
