After Multiple Cuts, ‘Pathaan’ Gets U/A Certificate; Check Runtime Of SRK-Deepika Film
New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted controversial movie ‘Pathaan’ a U/A certificate, which means unrestricted public exhibition subject to parental guidance for children under 12.
This, after CBFC ordered as many as 10 cuts, including a number of changes in the ‘Besharam Rang’ song which triggered a wave of protests since its online release last month.
The changes that CBFC wanted included replacement of certain words – like ‘RAW’ to be changed to ‘Humare’, ‘Langde Lulle’ swapped with ‘Toote Foote’, and ‘PMO’ replaced with ‘President/Minister’ in 13 places. Other edited words include ‘Mrs Bharatmata’, ‘Ashok Chakra’, ‘Scotch’ and ‘KFB’, while a reference to Russia has also been removed.

The Siddharth Anand directorial and Yash Raj Films-produced spy thriller, in its final form, runs for 2 hours and 26 minutes.
