Morning School For Students Of Classes I To XII To Start From April 11 In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: In order to give a respite to students from heatwave during the summer, the Odisha government on Saturday announced that all government and private schools across the state will have morning classes from April 11.
In a press release on the day, the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department stated that the morning classes of the students of Classes I to XII will be held from 7 am to 11.30 am from April 11.
However, the district collectors have been told to make necessary changes keeping the local conditions in consideration. The schools have been directed to ensure potable water and other facilities for the students during the summer.
The department also stated that the new academic session of the schools will begin from April 3 and the admission will be held between April 3 and 8.
Earlier in the day, School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash flagged off the vehicles carrying the Odia textbooks of Classes I to VIII for the students in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.
