Keojhar: Body of a woman was found hanging from a tree at Sundarapala Bazaar under Soso police limits in Keonjhar district on Sunday.
Irked over the incident, a group of locals staged a blockade on Hadagada road by burning tyres. Alleging that the woman was murdered, they demanded strict action against the culprits.
The deceased, identified as Suryamani Patra, had reportedly lodged a police complaint three days ago, alleging that she was gang-raped. Two youths, identified as Akshaya Jena and Hemant Sahu, were detained in this connection.
Meanwhile, police have sent the body for postmortem.
