New Delhi: The multi-party delegations, sent by the Central government to 33 countries to present India’s position post Operation Sindoor, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on their return to New Delhi next week.

The meeting is likely to take place in New Delhi on June 9 or 10, India Today reported citing sources. Delegation members will brief Modi about their visits — how high-level meetings, strategic conversations went, and the responses from various countries.

Seven delegations, each comprising Members of Parliament from different parties, senior political leaders and seasoned diplomats, were tasked with engaging the international community about the purpose of Operation Sindoor and convey India’s zero-tolerance in the fight against terrorism.

On the night of May 6-7, Indian Armed forces launched a measured and calculated strike targeting nine notorious terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Around 100 terrorists were eliminated in the operation, which lasted around 23 minutes.

It was India’s response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, when 26 innocent men were shot dead at the picturesque Baisaran valley.

India’s top military officials explained with evidence that the strikes were targeted at terror sites only. Pakistan, however, claimed without proof that civilians had been killed in India’s missile strikes.

In what was the biggest diplomatic outreach in India’s history, seven teams – each led by a prominent parliamentarian – travelled to all corners of the world to detail India’s stance and garner support.

The delegations were led by — Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JD-U), Baijayant Panda (BJP), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP) and Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena).

Some of the delegations are back in India, and the team led by Baijayant will meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at 2.30 pm on Tuesday. The delegation had visited Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Algeria.
