Mumbai: Vivek Oberoi has joined the star-studded cast of the highly-anticipated epic drama ‘Ramayana’, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
As per reports, Vivek has been roped in to portray the character of Vidhyutjiva in the Nitesh Tiwari-directed film.
Here’s a look at the other characters:
* Ranbir will be playing the lead role of Lord Rama, and Sai Pallavi will be playing Sita.
* Kannada superstar Yash has been roped in to play the character of Ravana.
* Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman, and Amitabh Bachchan Jatayu.
* Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Kaikeyi, Mandodari and Surpanakha, respectively.
* Actor Mohit Raina, popular for his role of Lord Shiva in ‘Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev’ will be reprising his role in the film.
* Ravi Dubey will be essaying character of Lakshman and Arun Govil will play King Dasharath.
* Kunal Kapoor will play Lord Indra and Adinath Kothare Bharat.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the first promo of ‘Ramayana.’ The first instalment of ‘Ramayana’ will hit theatres on Diwali next year.
