Paradip: A joyful outing on Eid Ul-Adha turned tragic when a young man went missing while swimming in the sea at Paradip in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday afternoon.
According to sources, a group of seven, all students of Kendrapada Autonomous College, had traveled to Paradip for the festive celebration after offering namaz. One among them, Sk Aman Ullah, slipped and was swept away during a high tide while they were taking bath in waist-deep waters near the lighthouse.

After being informed, CISF and Fire Services personnel initiated a search and rescue operation. Till filing of the reports, the youth was yet to be traced, while his friend said that they were hopeful of seeing him alive.
