Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra rang in her 50th birthday with her loved ones in Croatia last weekend.
However, the celebrations were marred by an unfortunate incident that allegedly took place at a restaurant there.
A video, claiming that Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra shouted at a girl at a restaurant in Croatia, is all over internet, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
Amid growing speculation, Shilpa’s husband cleared the air about the viral video.
“I’d like to clarify the situation regarding the video circulating online. I had booked this particular restaurant a year in advance to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed that our table had been given away to another group due to what they claimed was a ‘double booking’ error from the same agent,” Raj told Hindustan Times.
“As someone who has also run restaurants, I found the handling of the situation deeply frustrating especially with my elderly parents, mother-in-law and 20 guests left waiting. What was meant to be a special evening turned unnecessarily stressful, and when we raised our concerns, we were abruptly told to stay quiet, which only added to our disappointment”.
“After a year of planning, the lack of accountability or even basic courtesy from the restaurant management was extremely disheartening. I hope this puts the situation into perspective,” he concluded.
A social media user took to Instagram to share a video, alleging that Shilpa and her husband Raj got into an argument with a local girl in Croatia.
Along with the video, the user wrote, “This incident occurred today (9.06.2025) in Hvar Island , Croatia. A foreigner was eating her food and they (Shilpa Shetty and team) were speaking loudly. The foreigner girl asked them to lower their volume however Raj Kundra (Shilpa Shetty’s Husband) replied by saying “You Don’t Know Who We Are.” I could not record that line on the video because it was very sudden.” In this video, we hear a woman say, “Eat your food and then go. Don’t talk to us. We don’t want to hear you.” While, the foreigner girl just wanted to enjoy her food and politely requested to them to speak softly.”

However, as neither Shilpa nor Raj can be seen in the viral video, it left netizens wondering if the couple was actually involved in the argument.
While a section of netizens trolled Shilpa and Raj for shouting at the girl, others defended the couple as they were not seen in the video.
A social media user claimed, “You don’t who we are” 🤡🤡 lol she’ll google him only to see all those sleazy cases filed against him.”
Another commented, “Clearly money can’t buy manners or basic etiquette.”
