Mumbai: After nearly 17 years, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan will be reuniting for Priyadarshan’s ‘Haiwaan’.
On Tuesday, Priyadarshan took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of Saif and Akshay enjoying watching the India vs England Test match at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London, which ended in a nerve-tingling 22-run for the home team on July 14.
The filmmaker also wrote, “Haiwaan” my next film with @akshaykumar and and Saif Ali Khan at Lords.”
The announcement left fans thrilled and they took to social media to share their excitement.
“Another blockbuster in the making!!!” expressed one fan.
Another user commented, “Akshay kumar + priyadarshan = best combination.”
However, one person had a requet: “Pehle Hera pheri 3 banao bad main jo chahe karo.”
Another netizen wrote, “Hera pheri 3 laao Naa.”

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, ‘Haiwaan’ will be a Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam film ‘Oppam’, starring Mohanlal.
“It’s a nail-biting and entertaining thriller film. Helmed by Priyadarshan, it will leave the audiences on the edge of their seats!” a source was quoted as saying by News18.
The film will be going on floors next month, and is scheduled for a 2026 release.
The actors have earlier worked together in several films including ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Yeh Dillagi’, ‘Tu Chor Main Sipahi’, and ‘Keemat’ among others. They were last seen together in the 2008 film ‘Tashan.’
