Bhubaneswar: To strengthen Odisha’s AI-driven growth trajectory and reinforcing its leadership in India’s rapidly emerging AI landscape, SOA Deemed to be University, in collaboration with the Odisha Society of America (OSA) and AI and HPC Research Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar, will be organising the Odisha AI Symposium in Bhubaneswar on December 18.
The symposium is an official pre-event for the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in which SOA will be the host institution in partnership with Indian AI Mission (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India).
It will bring together eminent policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and key ecosystem enablers on a single platform. “SOA will ensure the presence of renowned national and international AI experts whose insights are expected to influence governance frameworks, accelerate innovation-driven economic progress and foster inclusive socio-economic development across Odisha,” a release issued by the institute said.
It further noted that the Odisha AI Symposium is set to serve as a catalyst for building a future-ready AI-enabled ecosystem. “It will facilitate strategic dialogues, deep-tech collaborations, sector-specific solution development and the creation of a roadmap for scalable AI interventions across governance, education, healthcare, agriculture, industries and public service delivery.”
Universities, research institutions, start-ups, innovators, corporate and media representatives have been invited to the event and contribute to Odisha’s mission of becoming a global centre of excellence in Artificial Intelligence, it added.
