Bhubaneswar: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant is slated to reach Odisha on Sunday on his first visit to the state since taking oath as CJI.
Sources said he is scheduled to participate in a symposium at Saheed Bhavan in Cuttack, organised by the Orissa High Court Bar Association (HCBA). Discussion will be held on ‘Ensuring Justice for the Common Man: Strategies for Reducing Litigation Costs and Delays’.
Chief Justice of Orissa high court Justice Harish Tandon will be the chief speaker, while advocate general Pitambar Acharya and chairman of Odisha State Bar Council, Sitanshu Mohan Dwibedy, will be the guests of honour.
The event will bring together prominent legal experts, advocates, and judicial officers to discuss key issues related to justice delivery and judicial reforms.
