Mumbai: Television actors Gaurav Khanna and Shraddha Arya are reportedly in talks to headline Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming romantic family drama for Star Plus.
Although the project is still in development and an official announcement from the makers is awaited, the reported collaboration has already generated curiosity among television audiences.
The show is also expected to mark both actors’ return to daily soaps.
As per Telly Masala, the series will explore romance, relationships and family dynamics.
There is also speculation that it could eventually take over the time slot currently occupied by Smriti Irani-led ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’.
However, the makers have not yet confirmed the show’s launch date or time slot.
Reports suggest that the series could premiere on Star Plus in October 2026, although an official announcement is still awaited.
Gaurav rose to immense popularity with his portrayal of Anuj Kapadia in the hit television show ‘Anupamaa’.
After leaving the daily soap, the actor continued to remain in the limelight through reality television.
He is currently participating in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, having previously lifted the trophy of ‘Bigg Boss 19’.
Shraddha, meanwhile, is best known for playing Preeta in ‘Kundali Bhagya’, a role that established her as one of the most recognisable faces on Hindi television.
She portrayed the character from 2017 to 2024 in the Ekta Kapoor-produced series, which was a spin-off of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
Shraddha took a break from television after getting married and welcoming twins, although she later made a brief appearance in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
If the reported casting is finalised, the upcoming show could bring Gaurav and Shraddha together for the first time as a fresh on-screen pairing.
